Lexington, Kentucky Non Profit Organization Surgery On Sunday will be featured on the Person of the Week Series on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer for Dr. Andrew Moore's pioneering work in starting Surgery On Sunday, Inc. Utilizing over 325 VOLUNTEER Surgeons, Nurses, Medical and Ancillary Professionals, Surgery On Sunday has served over 3300 patients since 2005 and continues to provide surgeries at absolutely NO COST to the uninsured individuals who meet income guidelines and cannot afford health insurance.

CNN RECOGNIZES “HERO OF THE YEAR” NOMINEE: DR. ANDREW MOORE, FOUNDER OF SURGERY ON SUNDAY - Mar 1st, 10
LEXINGTON, KY – Cable news station CNN recently selected noted Lexington surgeon Dr. Andrew Moore, founder of Surgery on Sunday, to be one of the “Hero of the Year” nominees. Earlier in February, CNN come to Lexington to interview Dr. Moore and learn more about Surgery on Sunday, and the impact this grassroots organization has made to improve the lives of thousands throughout Kentucky and several surrounding states.
